We hope you will join us on our journey to the country. We are all new to country life and all the many challenges that come along with this. We came from a beautifully FINISHED estate home to a Country Home that needed to be totally re-FINISHED from stem to stern. We are trying to get back to basics and live with much less and on purpose. You will learn as we learn. You will laugh, I may cry (not you, me). I will share my family our joy and our struggle. Come along and in the process we will grow together.
HOW TO MAKE A VACUUM POWERED FILTER PRESS
How to make a vacuum powered filter press. We have had a chance to run our first boil and dang was it awesome! The boil when beautifully...that was until we got to the filtering process. We went through 16 filters and 3 hours of time. It was not working as expected. We struggled to get the syrup through the filters and nothing worked. Solution was this homemade filter press...it worked beautifully and was worth all the effort.

HE'S OVER IT...
Frank thinks his new Maple Syrup Broiler System may have been a bit too much...he calls it quits! The season is coming to an end and after 35 hours of boiling sap his batch spoils and he is not sure how to come back from this. He is hopeful but not certain he can save the 50 Liters of Syrup he has boiled down. We share the ups and does of the season and how to stick with it.

🍀Maple Syrup is a BIG deal in Canada. We have been learning and growing on our property. One of the biggest areas of focus during the Winter months has become Maple Syrup. We have learned so much and want to share this with you.
SPRING BREAK SKI TRIP
In this weeks episode we decided to "drop in" on Blue Mountain (Collingwood, Ontario). Gone are the days of standing in line ups and busy airports to flee the snow for a Spring Break. Travelling during March Break has become a stressful adventure. Blue Mountain has a family friendly vibe, there is fun for the whole family. There is alot to do even as a non-skier. While the season is gearing up for change over, Blue is a year round destination. I realized in this video Eli is skiing well beyond my skill level. So I long for the day Daxton can get on the hills and I get to go back to the magic carpet. 😂
TORONTO AUTO SHOW - FAMILY FUN
🍀In this weeks episode we head into the City to take in the countries largest auto show. From gear heads to families this show is for anyone looking for an inexpensive way to get lost in some adventure and day dreams of owning that $5.5 Million Bugatti Chiron. It was the most expensive car I have ever seen up close and personal.
FAMILY DAY - SUPER BOWL AND MORE
In this weeks video we share some our favourite superbowl snacks. After a little bit of fussing we managed to get the game on the big screen. Frank, has been a huge fan of the superbowl experience, while Amber loves to take in the half time show. We managed to enjoy both before we lost connection. Frank was left to watch the remaining second half on his cell phone...it was not ideal.
CELEBRATING LOVE AT THE MAJESTIC MIRAGE
I take you around the beautiful Majestic Mirage Resort. It is has been one of our favourite vacations of all time. It could have something to do with welcoming a daughter in law into our family. We celebrated their love with 50 of their closest friends and family. It truly was a week of what dreams are made of. The weather was perfect, the resort was beautiful, the rooms were spacious and comfy, the selection of food was bountiful. If you ever have the opportunity to visit I highly recommend.
LOVE GETTING TO SPEND TIME WITH THE FAMLEE - CELEBRATING LOVE
There are very few videos I get to edit that light my heart up the way it does when my family grows...our family grew again and we welcomed a beautiful young women to our family. We couldn't be happier to get to share this special day with you. Hope you enjoy.💜
CANADIAN WINTER STORMS
We have just returned from the sunny skies of Punta Cana, where we celebrated our sons wedding. It was hot any beautiful...but we left and came home to a crazy snow storm. The grass was green when we left and well let's say it is no longer green.
DISNEY IN TORONTO
We started the year off with a little Disney magic. We also go back a couple of weeks to share a little more of our holiday season. Sorry not sorry...I had to share the little man and his first visit with the big man. I hope you enjoy.
SEASON 3 | 2023 YEAR OF BEING FREE
See ya 2022 - looking forward to starting a New Year. Something about a new year and a new start. 2022 was a tough one for many but it was a really tough one for our famlee alot of change and alot of lessons learned. It is in the hard seasons we grow the most...2022 was certainly a hard season for us. We are looking forward to 2023 being the year of being free. Frank had celebrated his birthday on Dec 31 and realized he had been telling everyone he was one year older than he really was. So I say he gets a do over. This will be the year to become free...
